Clearing Space is a powerful stand-alone process with strong research to support it as a stress-reduction tool independent of the other steps of Focusing. This class will explore how you can use this practice in your daily life to manage its ups and down when you might not have access to a Focusing partner.
This is the second of our three part interactive online course. We will guide you, in a playful way, through the second phase of Thinking at the Edge (TAE), (steps 6 - 9): Working with instances – personal experiences that feel relevant for the topic we are thinking about. All over the world, we were forced to withdraw from live contact with others in response to the threat of the novel coronavirus. Downunder we have moved past the stage of isolation, but have been asked to continue to limit our contact with others. This gathering is a chance for us to connect with one another virtually and to support one another during this challenging time.

As all of us continue to find ways to keep ourselves, our families, and our communities safe from the coronavirus, our need for connection and emotional support is higher than ever.
This is a 30-minute webinar (with Ann Weiser Cornell) with warm, positive tips for emotional self-care in these challenging times.
Our hope is that you’ll leave the webinar with a greater sense of resilience and some relief from the stressful feelings you might be having. And that you’ll know you are not alone.
A daily (weekdays) drop-in class, open to beginners & long-time focusers alike. Class is 45 minutes long.
Come once in a while or every day! (Class meets at 12 PM New York Time / 9 AM Pacific Time)
Each class I will guide you in a brief attunement to help you settle into a sense of ease and grounding in your body. I will offer gentle guidance in going to the more subtle body places beneath the surface of what you might usually refer to as “I.” You will then have the opportunity to practice tuning in and turning toward yourself and what is there for you today in the supportive and friendly environment of the class. Lastly there will be opportunity for questions and reflections.
Feeling at home in your body, receptive and friendly toward

This third part of the Focusing Fundamentals Short Course centers on getting past the most typical blocks to Focusing: inner critics, doubts, sleepiness, distractions, feeling too much or not too much. As we learn how to be present for this in our partners, we also learn how to deepen the process for ourselves.
An exploration in deepening our self-awareness around what's keeping us from putting more time into self-care and/or what's keeping us in addictive behavioral patterns that do not support our health and well-being. Open to both experienced Focusers and as an intro to Focusing concepts. There is no partnering in this class, we work individually. Meets four times Thursday's 7-8:30pm EDT beginning June 4.
Please register by Monday, June 1.
This class will encourage you to explore your writerly self as you reflect on the good and the bad experiences of recent months. Come use your Focusing practice to mine your bodily responses, translating those to the page, or a body card. A playful, thoughtful workshop for all.
